Isn’t it hard to believe how much changes in two years? I look back at old posts and cringe. We were so young, so naive, so immature. We used blogging as an outlet because we literally thought nobody understood us. Which isn’t the case, thankfully.

But now look at us. Senior Year. Huntaub and I decided a couple of months ago to restart Wingdings as a year-long project for our last year together. If other bloggers want to join, leave a comment. We’d be happy to have you. Of course, we have to know you

Anyway, it’s mind-blowing to think I have a year left in Georgia. But the question that is constantly running through my mind: Will I actually miss this?

-My last high school registration: Nope, standing in line for 3 hours in a hot building did not stir nostalgia whatsoever.

- Freshman Meet n’ Greet: Yes I will miss Drama Club, but I have no fear that it will continue to get better after we leave.

- Last First day of grade school: Nope. I realized how boring syllabi really are.

-Last time watching the safety video: I will never miss that. Ever.

But, alas, you are wrong. The first shock is the transition to Middle School. You get to find out who you really are, what you like. You are no longer a generic kid. Then, you go to High School. This is where you learn about people. Who are your friends? Who do you trust?

But, even that will change. We are beginning our Senior year, so the reboot was appropriate. However, we have less than 365 days left of our current lifestyle. Less than 365 days to finish everything we wanted to do in high school. Less than 365 days to find closure with people. Less than 365 days to remove all regrets.

How would you spend this last year knowing that the clock is ticking? Want to see what we will do? Stay tuned.

To be exact, about 9 months or so since somebody has blogged on Wingdings. I guess we spent that time growing up. Which really, is the biggest difference between this time last year and now. We were silly immature freshman living in our pampered world. We still live in that pampered world, but we have become less self centered, most definitely. Well, at least I have. I am speaking for myself on this one. The other authors can disagree or agree as they choose fit.

Did that make sense? It did in my mind. Anyway, it has come to my attention that all the bloggers of old (Huntaub, Think Again, New B, M & M, Waldo, L’Auter, etc. , etc.) have turned away from blogging. I have left the blogging world of old as well, having decided to seek outlets in different ways. I immersed myself in schoolwork and managed to pull my grades up. And have you noticed? I am using proper spelling and grammar. My summer was a summer like no other, honestly. I learned many life lessons, and often I learned them the hard way.

But I digress, I believe it was better the authors stepped away from blogging. We were immature; we said things and wrote words that we didn’t necessarily believe, but instead they were words of passions and ideas of hate. Although we were young and ignant (ignorant), I miss it. I miss the outlet that blogging provided for us. I miss the opportunity it gave us to release our feelings and pretend that someone was reading about them. That once, just once, we could connect with our friends without going through the vicious cycle of gossip. Unfortunately, blogging soon fell to gossip. Every morning it was about who blogged what and whose blog hurt whose feelings and how much we dislike people for their ideas.

What shit.

Whatever, we move past that. Hopefully, I want this to start a renaissance? or rebirth of blogging. Come back, authors, and share your thoughts.

I miss them. And you.
